Gossamer wings of flapping sunshine

On gossamer wings of flapping sunshine the people in the tiny blue houses rose up into the snapping and sputtering spring air. Only to collapse, dazed and dizzy into the grass as if they were seeking forgiveness from winter. Their only wish, was that spring could forgive them, so that summer could then redeem the achy winter inside of them.

Happy and absurd were out rough housing in the field before dinner
