Adrift

If you are in Houston this weekend please come out to the opening of my solo show, Adrift, at G-Spot Contemporary Art Space, Houston Texas.

On view December 3rd, 2016 through December 31st, 2016. Opening Reception December 3rd, 6pm-9pm.

Attached  to the paintings is a three-dimensional sculptural object of driftwood that contains HO-scale people, a car, and telephone poles.  This sculptural object is attached to the linen with magnets. In the sky is painted an apparatus that appears to be part botanical and mechanical.   It floats just out of reach of the humans who are left, floating on driftwood, where it seems that something might occur, or has already occurred, and now the consequence is being played out, and they’re forever set to repeat the narrative assigned to them.
